One of the great wines of the northwestern region of Piedmont in Italy, Barbera makes up only a tiny percentage of wine produced in North America. With good natural acidity, it is a very food-friendly wine. This grape has found an ideal home along the banks of the Columbia River in the Alder Ridge Vineyard in the Horse Heaven Hills of the Columbia Valley Washington. Modeled after some of our favorite Piedmont Barbera’s, we use only neutral oak barrels to fully express the rich round dark fruit and maintain the freshness of the varietal. Enjoy this wine with your favorite pasta, pizza or hearty winter stew. 100% Neutral Oak Barrels. 14.47% Alcohol.
