Our 2019 Rosé of Pinot Noir follows a tradition in recent years of being drawn exclusively from the 777 Pinot noir clone grown on Jory volcanic soils at the upper elevations and southeast aspect of Luminous Hills Vineyard in Yamhill- Carlton. This section of the vineyard was farmed specifically for rosé, leaving wings on clusters and additional leaves around the fruiting zone to preserve acidity and reduce over-ripeness. Picked separately, macerated for 36 hours at very cold temperatures (40 degrees F), pressed off gently and fermented in neutral French oak barrels, then aged for six months before bottling. This process produces a complex, vibrant Rosé with a balance of energetic tension coupled with a rich presence on the palate, flowering aromatics, and delicate red fruit.
