2018 Willamette Valley Pinot Noir
Regular price $35.00
This is the second vintage in a row marking our smallest production Willamette Valley Pinot Noir since we started making this wine back in the 2006 vintage. The 2018 version joins a set of wines from the 2018 vintage that are all smaller, more selective and highly specific. As in the last two vintages, this wine is made from 100% Luminous Hills fruit, here a selection of barrels across the broad spectrum of characteristics in the vineyard: all four clones (14.6% Pommard, 27% 115, 29.2% 777 and 29..2% 667, both soil types (Willakenzie sedimentary and Jory volcanic), and the myriad of elevations and aspects that make Luminous Hills capable of expressing the many tones of Pinot Noir. The seven select barrels for this blend were chosen for their early appeal and accessibility, but don’t be fooled: at 41% whole cluster fermentation, this wine will age beautifully for a dozen years or more. 21.9% new French Oak. 14.1% Alcohol. 41% Whole Cluster Fermented.
