Our 2017 Pinot Gris is a blend from two diverse vineyards in the Willamette Valley: the Stand Sure Vineyard resides in a great neighborhood in the Eola-Amity Hills on volcanic Nekia soil that produce richness and depth. The partner to this blend is the Garden Vineyard, a high elevation site in the very northern part of the Willamette Valley. That elevation is a key contributor of vibrancy, elegance and focus to this wine, particularly in a warm vintage like 2017. Once pressed, the fermentation is managed in four separate lots, three in neutral French oak, for a complex array of aromatic expressions, textures, and fruit components, body and weight. The fourth stainless steel lot helps to retain the verve at the core of the wine. Fermented completely dry for a rich, complex, and food- friendly wine.
