This single vineyard Chardonnay from the Gran Moraine Vineyard in the Yamhill-Carlton AVA expresses a clear sense of place characteristic of the ancient ocean sedimentary soils in the western edge of the AVA near the coast range. Meticulously farmed with modest yields, this site produces a distinctly rich and expressive almost tropical Chardonnay from the ideally matched clone 76 to the site. The warm summer was deliciously complemented by a late season rain that helped to extend hang time and brought balance to this wine, moderating alcohol, and maintaining bright acidity. Gran Moraine is LIVE and Salmon Safe Certified.
