The Bjornson vineyard resides in a locale within the AVA that is notable for many distinguished vineyards. While young, this vineyard is showing early signs of great promise. The wine we have made from this vineyard draws from the oldest plantings in Kristjan’s Block situated on Jory and Nekia volcanic soil types. In The 2013 vintage of this wine has the rich imprint of a warm summer, moderated by a late season rain that brought everything back into balance. The result is a layered, ethereal Pinot noir made from a blend of two- thirds Pommard and one-third 777 clones. The Bjornson vineyard is LIVE Certified and Salmon Safe.
