This single vineyard Chardonnay from the Gran Moraine Vineyard in the Yamhill-Carlton AVA expresses a clear sense of place characteristic of the ancient ocean sedimentary soils in the western edge of the AVA near the coast range. Meticulously farmed with modest yields, this site produces a distinctly rich and expressive Chardonnay from the ideally matched clone 76 to the site. In this nearly perfect growing season, ripening progressed slowly, allowing for substantial hang time well into October for full flavor development while retaining good acidity and restrained alcohol. Gran Moraine is LIVE and Salmon Safe Certified.
