2020 Pinot Noir Rosé

Our 2020 Rosé of Pinot Noir is built a little differently this year, drawing exclusively from the 667 clone at the highest elevation of Luminous Hills Vineyard in Yamhill-Carlton. This year we specifically farmed this section for rosé, leaving wings on clusters and additional leaves around the fruiting zone to preserve acidity and reduce over-ripeness. Picked separately, this lot was directly pressed with just enough skin contact for a delicate salmon color, and then transferred to neutral French oak barrels for fermenting and then aging for six months before bottling. This process draws out the distinguishing savory and spicy character of the 667 clone, producing a vibrant Rosé with a balance of energetic tension coupled with a rich presence on the palate, flowering aromatics, and delicate red fruit.
