Our primary bottling from Luminous Hills, the “Silver” label, is usually a selection of barrels from across the entirety of Luminous Hills vineyard and its many diverse elements. In a sense that is still the case since one of the barrels in this wine was a co-ferment of lots from the entire vineyard, but in reality, the actual approach for this wine was a barrel selection to make the most complex and complete wine possible from the lots made from Luminous Hills. The key to the power and complexity of this wine is that it includes lots that normally would be drawn off for the Lux and the Astra and even the Very Special Reserve. The result belies the likely reputation of the vintage in that it exhibits power, range, depth and breadth across the palate. Recommended for drinking in the next five to eight years. Made with 25% New French Oak, with the rest used one or more times previously. 13.73% Alcohol. Comprised of the following Pinot Noir clones: 78% Pommard 16% 667, 3% 777, 3% 115.
